Land Acknowledgement
We Acknowledge that Weather the Storm Outreach operates on the traditional, ancestral territory of the Attawandaron (Neutral), Wyandot, Lunaapeew (Delaware), and the Three Fires Confederacy—comprising the Ojibwe (Chippewa), Odawa, and Potawatomi Nations. We also recognize and honor our neighbouring Indigenous communities: Delaware Nation at Moraviantown, Bkejwanong Territory (Walpole Island First Nation), and Caldwell First Nation.
This land is covered by the historic agreements of Treaty #2 (The McKee Purchase), Treaty #7 (Sombra Township Treaty), and Treaty #21 (Longwoods Treaty), and continues to be guided by the spirit of the Dish with One Spoon and Two Row Wampum Covenants.
We also acknowledge the global Indigenous community as we also operate globally and can touch many other ancestral territories that today may be or not be acknowledged.
We offer our sincere gratitude to the original stewards of this land and express our heartfelt thanks for their continued leadership, wisdom, and collaboration within the local substance use community. We remain committed to walking alongside Indigenous partners in compassion, mutual respect, and stigma‑free care for all individuals and families on their journey toward healing and well-being.
